Is running stairs with a weight vest and weight shorts beneficial?

I heard that plain old running around a track with a weight vest isnt very beneficial for you. But what if i used it to run up and down some high sets of stairs? Its not a cheap weight vest that bounces around, it’s very snug and fit. If this isn’t beneficial for you what is a good way to increase my vertical jump, explosiveness, speed, and quickness? Thanks Everyone!!!

Using a weight vest is good in general but not the best idea for running or climbing stairs as it will put added strain on your knees with the extra weight it provides.

Your best bet if you are going to use a weighted vest is to use it on an elliptical or a stepper as there’s not a lot of force in those and an elliptical is more a circular motion.

I’m not sure how you would go about increasing your vertical jump but the best thing for speed and quickness would probably be a treadmill as they will most likely always outrun you. Which means you can always try to push yourself further.
