Would it be inadvisable for an American to wear a ring bearing the Cross of Lorraine in France?

I understand that the cross was a symbol of the Free French during World War II, but also with the post-war Gaullist Rally For The Republic. I look at it as a symbol of French independence, but I’d hate to have trouble over a ring as a result of someone thinking otherwise.

Thanks for your answer!

There would have been problems if you wore a nazi symbol. But the Croix de Lorraine… (gallic shrug). No one will care.
